Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CvBFF (the "Service"), a Chrome extension that generates tailored CVs and cover letters using AI. By installing or using CvBFF, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

CvBFF is operated as an independent product. For questions, contact us at support@cvbff.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use CvBFF. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits.

4. Credits and payments

• CvBFF operates on a credit system. Credits are purchased in packs and used to unlock generated documents.
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law.
• Credits do not expire, but they are tied to your account and cannot be transferred.
• If your account is deleted, any unused credits are forfeited.
• All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• Prices are shown in USD and may change at any time. Changes do not affect credits already purchased.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate false, misleading, or fraudulent content to deceive employers.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's API or infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to generate large volumes of requests.
• Circumvent any rate limits, security measures, or access controls.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6. AI-generated content

• CvBFF uses AI to rewrite and reframe your CV based on your profile and a job posting. The AI works only from information you provide — it does not invent experience or qualifications.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated content before submitting it to employers. We make no guarantee that generated content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for any specific role.
• You must not submit AI-generated content to employers if doing so violates their application policies.

7. Intellectual property

• You retain ownership of the profile information and CV content you provide.
• You grant CvBFF a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service.
• The CvBFF application, branding, and generated CV templates are our intellectual property.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated CVs will result in job interviews or offers.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CvBFF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of employment opportunity. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the 30 days preceding the claim.

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page in the extension.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
• On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is based. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings.
